In the news this week.

When skimming through the news this week, we just wanted to pick our some stories that made us smile about this wonderful industry we work in.

Lamborghini LM002 :

Perhaps the daddy of the high performance off-roader genre, this product of the 1980’s complete with its V12 Countach engine is listed on the Collecting Cars auction site. Originally designed as a product for the military but quickly transformed for road use, this 5.2 litre 440bhp monster will drink fuel at an alarming rate and looks truly indestructible. This particular variant has just 15,000km on the clock and is currently situated in the United Arab Emirates. Check out the details here:

The Return of Norton:

Great news for fans iconic and premium British motorcycles is the announcement that Norton Motorcycles will release its first new model before the end of this year. Now under completely new ownership having been purchased by TVS, the business is transforming and restructuring for an exciting new future.

Full details of the new V4SS are yet to be released but the headlines of 200bhp, 130NM torque, and a razor-sharp chassis developed at the Isle of Mann TT are enough to whet our appetites.

The World’s Longest Drift

We know the future is electric, and Porsche are wasting no time in setting electric vehicle records. They have just entered the Guinness World Records for the longest drift with an electric vehicle. It completed an incredible 210 laps of a 200-metre-long drift circle without the front wheels ever pointing in the same direction as the curve! It took 55 minutes, and it covered a total distance of 42kms. New tyres please.

McLaren announce the Arturo

We have a massive soft spot for all things McLaren. The news that their forthcoming Sports Series replacement will be given a name rather than a number is music to our ears. No more 540C,570S, 650S, 675LT etc.

The car looks like another gamechanger in the supercar marketplace complete with a High-Performance Hybrid powertrain.
