Bringing Changan to the UK: How We Built a Multi-Venue Brand & Media Launch with the Power of Teamwork

Launching a new automotive brand into a market as competitive as the UK takes more than a presentation and a product. It requires vision, a deep understanding of how brands want to be seen, and the ability to bring together many moving parts into a seamless experience.

That approach was at the heart of the recent brand and media launch for Changan UK, introducing the all-electric Deepal S07 to the UK’s leading automotive media and the first ‘founder partner’ dealers.

 

A Natural Home for Changan

Changan may be a new name for UK drivers, but it is one of the world’s most established automotive manufacturers. With over 163 years of heritage and already recognised as China’s third largest carmaker, Changan has a track record of innovation and ambition.


Since 2010, the company has operated a major R&D facility in Birmingham. This made the city’s Millennium Point the natural setting for the central presentation of the S07—a venue that symbolised both global heritage and local roots.

 

Four Venues, One Story

The challenge was to do more than launch a car. We wanted to bring a brand to life. That meant weaving together four very different venues into one coherent journey:


  • Millennium Point, Birmingham – The official media and dealer presentation.

  • Changan Birmingham dealership – A micro-event to mark the brand’s retail presence.

  • Ragley Hall – A dynamic drive programme where media tested the Deepal S07 on the road.

  • The Belfry – A celebration party showcasing the tagline “Fun Should Be Easy” with immersive entertainment.


Four locations, multiple narratives, and a single story of arrival.

 

Building Experiences in Record Time for the Changan UK Launch

From concept to delivery, the launch came together in record time. A team of more than 30 people worked side by side to manage every element—from press packs, presentations, and media portals through to venue transformations, guest engagement, entertainment, and on-the-ground logistics.


At Millennium Point, we paired the vehicle reveal with interactive technology, including VR and digital touchpoints, to immerse guests in the S07’s pioneering software and innovations. At Ragley Hall, journalists experienced the car dynamically, gaining first-hand impressions of how its design and engineering bring the tagline to life.


And at The Belfry, we closed the day with a high-energy brand party filled with activities designed to make “fun” more than a word—it was something people could feel.

 

The Power of Collaboration

This launch was a reminder of what can be achieved when trusted partners come together with a shared goal. More than 30 experts, each specialising in their field, worked as one team to create a seamless brand and product experience.


For us, the most exciting part wasn’t just the result—it was the way the story of Changan unfolded across multiple touchpoints. Bringing a global brand to life in the UK isn’t about doing things in isolation; it’s about synergy, integration, and a collective focus on the bigger picture.

At the heart of the launch was the Deepal S07 itself: a fully-electric D-segment SUV designed to set new standards for technology, style, and usability. Styled in Turin by the Changan Design Centre, the S07 blends sharp Italian lines with an elegant, modern presence that feels right at home on European roads. Step inside and you’ll find a beautifully crafted interior, rich in detail and materials, designed around both driver and passengers.


Beneath the design sits the kind of intelligent technology that sets the S07 apart. From its pioneering software to its driver-focused innovations, the car embodies Changan’s belief that “Fun Should Be Easy”—making advanced technology simple, accessible, and enjoyable to use every day.


It’s this combination of design, innovation, and usability that we believe will resonate strongly with UK consumers. The S07 isn’t just another EV—it’s a product that brings together global design expertise, advanced technology, and a brand with the heritage and scale to succeed.


For us, it was a privilege to help introduce such a significant car to the UK market. This launch wasn’t just about logistics—it was about raising Changan’s presence, connecting with the UK’s leading automotive media, and giving the brand the platform it deserves.
