BYD and Denza Shine at the British Motor Show with Leading Automotive Events Agency

The British Motor Show returned to Farnborough this summer, bringing together car enthusiasts, families, and industry insiders for one of the UK’s most exciting automotive events. Despite the soaring temperatures, turnout was exceptional – and BYD, supported by their sister brand Denza, made a major impact thanks to a vibrant stand, an action-packed test drive programme, and plenty of engaging entertainment.
As BYD’s trusted automotive events agency, we managed the full activation: from planning and design through to sourcing, staffing, and live delivery. The result was a standout presence that captured the imagination of thousands of visitors across the weekend.
At the heart of BYD’s activation was a large branded pod, complete with a DJ station that kept the energy high and created a festival-like atmosphere. Surrounding the pod was a fleet of BYD models available for test drives – and demand was extraordinary. With near-constant bookings, showgoers had the chance to get behind the wheel and experience BYD’s award-winning technology first-hand.
The event also gave UK audiences a taste of the future, with the Denza Z9 GT – a high-performance luxury SUV – and the bold Bao 8 off-roader (B8) on display, both set to expand BYD’s premium offering. For many visitors, it was also their first chance to drive the Dolphin Surf and the all-new Sealion 7, which generated huge excitement and strong leads.
But it wasn’t only about cars. True to BYD’s inclusive and engaging spirit, the stand offered something for everyone. The Dolphin Grabber machine proved to be one of the most popular attractions of the show, drawing queues of children and adults eager to try their luck. Colouring activities and live music added to the vibrancy of the stand, ensuring it was always buzzing with energy.
Behind the scenes, our team of product experts and brand ambassadors worked tirelessly to keep the experience seamless. Their focus was threefold: data capture, lead conversion, and delivering as many test drives as possible. The results spoke for themselves, with outstanding levels of engagement and a pipeline of leads for BYD’s UK dealer network.
The British Motor Show was also a showcase of BYD’s breadth and ambition. From the city-friendly Dolphin to the spacious Sealion 7, and from futuristic luxury in the Denza Z9 GT to the rugged capability of the Bao 8, BYD demonstrated its ability to compete across multiple segments. For visitors, it was clear evidence that BYD is a brand here to stay – and to lead.
For us as an automotive events agency, this activation was about more than just creating a stand. It was about building brand connection, driving engagement, and helping BYD and Denza take another major step forward in the UK market.
