This year, our team at We Are Nameless had the incredible opportunity to deliver the BYD and Yangwang stand build and customer experience at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Our collaboration brought to life a vision that seamlessly blended numerous activities, allowing both brands to gain prominence at an event whose roots are formed in motorsport.
Right from the start, our aim was to create an unforgettable experience for the attendees of the festival. As BYD was a major partner of the UEFA EURO 2024 championships, we wanted to focus on football and create a stand experience that would appeal to and entertain families. The highlight of our collaboration was the introduction of the Yangwang U8 super SUV and the U9 supercar in the UK. These vehicles, with their exceptional power and cutting-edge technology, were presented in a way that highlighted their capabilities and matched the essence of Goodwood. A significant part of the experience was the amazing Yangwang U9 dance and tank turn on the specially designed stage.
To realize our vision, we sought the expertise of Connect Live, known for their exceptional design and stand-building capabilities. As a long-standing trusted partner, Connect Live played a crucial role in bringing the vision to life with an outstanding design that was not only visually stunning but also functionally immersive. The design process was highly collaborative, involving meticulous planning and creative brainstorming to ensure that every element of the stand resonated with the festival’s dynamic atmosphere.
At We Are Nameless, we believe that making a meaningful impact goes beyond visual appeal. It's about creating memorable experiences. Our team curated a series of activities designed to engage and entertain festival-goers. This ensured that BYD and Yangwang made an unforgettable first impression at Goodwood.
One of the standout attractions was the Yangwang U9’s dance routine and tank turn in a specially created arena. This incredible display of the vehicle’s pioneering technology showcased the engineering excellence of the U9. Additionally, the Yangwang U8 super SUV and U9 supercar took to the famous Goodwood Hill each day, demonstrating their phenomenal performance capabilities on one of the most renowned automotive stages in the world.
To provide an enhanced experience, we featured panna football activities with professional freestyle footballers. These high-energy demonstrations attracted crowds and allowed attendees to interact with the athletes, adding a sports and entertainment element to the stand. In line with BYD’s partnership with UEFA EURO 2024, we also set up PlayStations with the latest Euro 24 game, offering a digital platform for visitors to immerse themselves in the excitement of the upcoming championship. Additionally, table football games provided an extra reason for people to spend time at the stand and engage with the team.
Furthermore, BYD demonstrated its cutting-edge technology by unveiling two interactive robots. These robots provided information about BYD vehicles and assisted people in learning more about the brand. To capture the perfect atmosphere we deployed the skills of DJ Destruction on the stand with a DJ set powered by the BYD Dolphin using Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology.
Many of the brands at Goodwood have long histories and strong motorsport pedigrees. However, BYD and Yangwang are relatively new players, so we had to think differently and create experiences that would stand out and make a genuine impact with visitors. Our innovative and pioneering approach ensured that BYD and Yangwang's debut at Goodwood wasn't just another exhibit, but a memorable and standout experience filled with excitement and novelty.
After months of careful planning and coordination, we are thrilled to share that the collaboration between We Are Nameless, Connect Live, BYD China, and BYD UK has resulted in an amazing brand experience.
