On 26 April 2026, we took our first premium event lounge to the Bicester Scramble, supporting Maserati's celebration of 100 years of the Trident. Two extraordinary centenaries, one iconic venue, and us, right in the middle of it all, with our very first unit out in the world doing exactly what we built it to do. It was one of those days in the events calendar that reminds you why this industry is worth being in.




THE OCCASION

Some events carry real weight. The Bicester Scramble is one of them.


Set at the former RAF Bicester, now one of the UK's most extraordinary automotive destinations, the Scramble draws visitors with curated displays of classic, vintage and modern collector cars, open workshop doors and the 50-plus specialists that call the site home. It is not a generic car show. It is a gathering of people who genuinely care about automotive culture. Knowledgeable, discerning, and completely unforgiving of anything that does not meet the standard of the occasion.


The April Scramble carried extra significance this year, celebrating 100 years of the Technical Site at Bicester Motion and honouring the rich history of the former RAF Bicester, which first began to take shape in 1926. One hundred years of aviation, engineering and automotive history written into the tarmac and the hangars of a venue that wears its heritage with complete confidence.


That alone would have made it a special day. Then there was Maserati.


100 YEARS OF THE TRIDENT

Where do you begin with a century of the Trident?


It was in 1926 that the Maserati Tipo 26, the first car ever to bear the Trident on its bonnet, raced in the Targa Florio, where it took first place in its class. That was the beginning. What followed was a century of racing victories, extraordinary road cars and a brand identity that has remained one of the most distinctive and recognisable in the automotive world.


The Trident symbol itself was inspired by the Neptune Fountain in Bologna, embodying the brand's elegance and audacity. One hundred years on, the Trident has come to embody technological excellence, exclusive style and Maserati's racing DNA around the world. That is not a small thing to celebrate. It is a century of being brilliant at what you do.


At the Bicester Scramble, Maserati brought that century to life. Cars old and new. Models spanning 100 years of heritage, design and engineering ambition, parked in one of the most evocative settings in British motoring. The display was extraordinary. A visual timeline of what one of the world's great automotive marques has produced across a hundred years of audacity.




THE SETTING

Bicester Heritage deserves its own moment in this story.


There are very few venues in the UK that carry this kind of gravity. The old hangars and workshops have been restored to a high standard, providing a unique backdrop to the machines that share the space. The history is physical.
